Lana Berry made an interesting observation during last night's game between Tampa Bay and Anaheim.  This also occurred during Sunday's game at the Coliseum.

Max Weinstein of Fangraphs looked at which batteries were the best when it came to preventing stolen bases, wild pitches and passed balls.  Shockingly, John Jaso is featured in two of the top 25.  I thought it would've been the other way around.

The Beloit Snappers are the A's lone minor-league affiliate in the postseason.  They will begin a best-of-three quarterfinal series against the Seattle-affiliated Clinton LumberKings on Wednesday.

On this day a year ago, Tommy Milone was beaten soundly by the Angels.  The loss snapped quite an impressive win streak that included a shellacking of the Red SoxAJ Griffin dominating Boston and Brett Anderson finishing off the sweep.
