The Oakland A’s host the Texas Rangers at the Coliseum for the second game of their four-game series. Texas won the opener last night.
The Rangers lineup is littered with former A’s. Leading off is our old hometown star Marcus Semien, batting cleanup is our former catching prospect Jonah Heim, and batting ninth is one of our past draft picks in utilityman Eli White.
Oakland will try to keep those familiar hitters at bay with Cole Irvin on the mound. The lefty returned from the injured list to make his previous start last Sunday and turned in a quality effort against the Angels that afternoon, with three runs in six innings.
