Season series sweep?

The Oakland A’s have one more interleague game before returning to normal American League action. Wednesday brings the finale of a brief two-game series against the Arizona D’Backs, and the A’s are hunting for a season series sweep after winning both matchups in the desert in April and then last night’s opener at the Coliseum.

Oakland sends Sean Manaea to the mound, as the left-hander looks to earn the Team Trident with another quality start. His last time out he threw a shutout against the Mariners, and he’s allowed only two total runs over his last three appearances.

The A’s lineup will face Matt Peacock, a rookie making his fifth career MLB start. He’s got a 4.68 ERA and 4.77 FIP overall including some relief work, but as a starter his ERA is 3.68 in 21 innings. He doesn’t rack up a lot of strikeouts and he’s been susceptible to homers, so Oakland’s lineup could match up well against him.
