Rubber match!

We’ve got a rubber match! The Seattle Mariners reeled in the first game of the series on Monday, and the Oakland A’s responded by emphatically winning the second game on Tuesday. Now they’ll play once more on Wednesday to decide things, though if the A’s win then it will just tie the larger season series at three apiece — the M’s already took two-of-three at the Coliseum last month.

On the mound for Oakland is Sean Manaea. The lefty faced the Angels in each of his last two starts and allowed one run in each, so he’ll look to carry that type of box score line into this game. He hasn’t yet pitched against the Mariners this season.

The A’s lineup will face right-hander Chris Flexen, whose last two appearances included an eight-run outburst by the Padres and then seven scoreless against Rangers. So, probably expect somewhere between those two extremes.
