The Oakland A’s lineup is out of its mind so far in June, averaging over six runs per game while winning 11 out of 13 contests. And now they’re getting back one of their best hitters.

The A’s activated Ramon Laureano from the 10-day injured list Wednesday morning, the team announced. The starting CF strained a hip on May 27 and went on the IL the next day, but he worked his way back and is now ready to go without needing a minor league rehab assignment.

Fellow outfielder Skye Bolt was optioned down to Triple-A to make room on the roster. The 27-year-old rookie appeared in nine games while covering for Laureano, which is the longest stint he’s ever spent in the majors. Although he only went 1-for-13 at the plate, he did have time for a couple highlights, cracking his first career homer and also making a great diving catch in center.

As for Laureano, he rejoins a group that is as hot as anybody in the majors right now. Since the beginning of June they’re getting an above-average batting line from a player at every single position on the field, except for one more outfield slot. Now they get to add these stud numbers back into the mix in CF, along with top-notch defense:

  • Laureano: .257/.332/.503, 133 wRC+, 11 HR, 8.3% BB, 26.8% Ks, 8 SB

The following A’s hitters have a 121 wRC+ or higher in June: Murphy (C), Olson (1B), Kemp (2B), Andrus (SS), Chapman (3B), Canha (LF), Pinder (RF), with a 106 wRC+ for Lowrie (DH). Laureano is back in the lineup right away, batting second and playing CF on Tuesday against the Angels.

Here’s the updated roster and injury report.
