The Oakland A’s have won seven games in a row! They now have a winning record for the first time this season.
They’ll look to continue that run on Sunday in their series finale against the Detroit Tigers. The A’s took the first three games already, including the last two by way of shutout, giving them the chance for a sweep if they can pick up one more victory.
On the mound is Oakland’s top starter Chris Bassitt, still in search of his first quality start of the year. He hasn’t had a bad game yet and has completed at least five frames each time, but not yet the combo of six innings and three or fewer earned runs.
The A’s last faced Tigers starter Matthew Boyd in May 2019, putting up four runs against him including homers by Nick Hundley (now an MLB executive) and Chad Pinder (now on the injured list).
