The 2021 Cactus League enters its second week, as the Oakland A’s play their eighth spring training game on Sunday. They’re on the road against the Kansas City Royals.

The A’s start with pitching prospect Parker Dunshee. The right-hander is currently on the ballot for our Community Prospect List, in the running for the final few spots, and he tossed two scoreless innings in his spring debut last week. He’s not on the 40-man roster and won’t make the team out of camp, but is part of the collection of rotation depth in Triple-A.

On the other side of the slate, the Royals turn to Brady Singer. The righty was a 1st-round draft pick in 2018, at No. 18 overall, and made a dozen starts last summer as a rookie with above-average results. The top half of Kansas City’s lineup has also gotten somewhat interesting, between a few veterans and a couple upcoming young stars.

First pitch is (was) 12:05 p.m. PT. You can listen to the radio broadcast for free online at A’s Cast.
