Only six spring training games left for the Oakland A’s in the 2021 Cactus League schedule! Next up is an exhibition against the Chicago White Sox on Wednesday.
Today brings Sean Manaea to the mound, armed with his newfound uptick in velocity. This is his third game of the spring, and so far he’s looked as strong as we’ve seen him in years. You might even say he appears to be in the best shape of his life. He was hit by a comebacker in his last start but just got a bruise out of it.
Meanwhile, the A’s get another look at Lance Lynn, one of the better pitchers in the league. They couldn’t score against him in their first try earlier this month, back in Game #14. Chicago also puts out more or less its full MLB lineup, with stars in the top six spots and a big prospect (and UC Berkeley product) batting seventh.
First pitch is 1:05 p.m. PT. You can listen to the radio broadcast for free online at A’s Cast.
