It’s Jesús Luzardo Day!

The lefty phenom makes his second start of the spring for the Oakland A’s, after tossing four hitless innings in his Cactus League debut last week. In that game he unveiled his Turkey Sub slow curveball for the first time, and it was glorious.

The A’s initially had Ramon Laureano in their lineup in center field, but he was scratched due to a sore left side, reports Melissa Lockard of The Athletic. Chad Pinder subs in, playing LF, with a few defensive adjustments around the field.

There are a couple of fun former A’s in the Arizona Diamondbacks lineup, beginning with catcher Stephen Vogt, an all-time inner-circle fan favorite in Oakland and a two-time All-Star while wearing green and gold. They also have Trayce Thompson in the outfield, brother of Golden State Warriors basketball star Klay Thompson, who briefly suited up for the A’s a couple years ago and made a highlight catch to rob a homer.

First pitch is (was) 1:10 p.m. PT. You can listen to the radio broadcast for free online at A’s Cast.
