It didn’t take long for both teams to score early. The Angels scored two in the first, two in the third (Mike Trout homer), one in the fifth and one in the second on a homer by Kevin Smith in the 7th. The A’s manufactured only one in the first but nothing since. The score is 6-1 entering the bottom of the 7th.
