The A’s start their penultimate series of the regular season tonight in Anaheim. Working to preserve the top AL Wild Card spot, the Athletics will need to make the most of their quick two game set against the Angels.
Both Tampa and Cleveland will have their games going before the Athletics, so by midway through this evening's affair we should have an idea how the Wild Card situation should look.
Homer Bailey looks to repeat his fantastic last start, pitching 7 shutout innings with 11 strikeouts. Bailey has been a solid addition to the A’s over the last three months, through three of his four losses as an Athletic have come on the road.
