Game Thread #154: A’s vs. Rangers

Good evening, Happy Friday and welcome to the final countdown of regular season baseball in 2019; just 9 games to go! With the A’s magic number sitting at 8; they hold a two game Wild Card lead over both the Indians and the Rays as they wrap up their final series in Oakland with the opener tonight. The Rays are playing the Red Sox and the Phillies the Indians as we speak. The A’s need to win to keep this postseason train moving.

To everyone’s great surprise, Mike Fiers is taking the mound for the start tonight, not even missing a moment from his abbreviated start five days ago, so we will see how he does.

Here is tonight’s lineup; look for Laureano to be back, Murphy catching, and Neuse to be at second.
