Yesterday wasn’t great. Thankfully, today is a new day, and the A’s have a new game in Houston.
With fresh potential and the chance to tie the series, the Athletics offence will be backing up Tanner Roark. A member of the A’s for a month now, Roark has gone 4-2 with only one appearance with less than 6.0 innings pitched. His last outing was 6.2 innings of shutout ball against the Angels.
Pitching for the Astros is Wade Miley. With a disastrous last start against the Mariners where they recorded 5 runs while Miley didn’t earn a single out, the Athletics have a great chance of getting under Miley’s skin for the second start in a row.

Lineup Notes:
- Laureano is listed as available off of the bench, and is reportedly feeling better.
- The newly re-acquired Beau Taylor won’t be with the club in time for the game today.
- Sean Murphy was Roark’s catcher for his last gem, so hopefully the battery will be able to pull off the same success today.
Go A’s!
