Happy Friday and welcome to a three-day weekend of fun! Well, it would be probably more fun if the A’s weren’t in Yankee Stadium, fresh off the heels of sweeping the Yankees like they were standing still in Oakland. Not only are the A’s in the thick of a pennant race, where the Wild Card standings change daily, but they have to go through the best team in the American League to win this weekend. No pressure.
Brett Anderson will be taking the first crack at it tonight; the good news is that Matt Chapman is back in the lineup joined by Sheldon Neuse, who is making his major league debut.
The A’s are facing C.C. Sabathia.
Here are the A’s lineups for the game tonight. It might as well be playoff baseball. Here we go.
