Game Thread #121: A’s at Giants

Happy hump day, AN! Today, the A’s (67-52) face the Giants (60-60) at Oracle Park in San Francisco for the second game of this week’s bay series. MadBum exploited a generous strike zone and stifled the A’s bats quite effectively last night to give the Giants the win in game one. The A’s look to even the series today with Homer Bailey (9-8, 5.54 ERA) on the mound for his sixth start as an Athletic since coming over from Cincinnati. The Giants will counter with Tyler Beede (3-6, 5.61 ERA). The A’s have also called up second baseman Corban Joseph, who has been raking in AAA this season, to make his debut in green and gold today.
