With the news that Matt Chapman would be participating in the Home Run Derby in lieu of Christian Yelich, it would be nice to send Chapman off with a victory. A win today would put the A’s at a solid 50 wins at the All Star Break.
The pitching matchup for this series finale is Daniel Mengden against Wade LeBlanc, though LeBlanc will have an opener. Mengden’s season has been up and down so far, but ultimately the team has been winning more than losing when he is on the mound.
The A’s will be sending their right-hand heavy lineup out for the third straight night. After being a late scratch yesterday, Mark Canha is back in the lineup and playing right field.
First pitch is at 1:10. Lineups are posted below.
