  • 1991 — During a game at Yankee Stadium, Oakland OF Jose Canseco is bombarded with assorted objects by unruly fans. Included among the objects are an inflatable doll, a transistor radio, and a head of cabbage. Oakland escapes with a 10 - 8 victory, and Canseco strokes a double in four at bats.
  • 2008 — Ichiro Suzuki raps the 3,000th hit of his career, combining the major leagues (1,722) and Japan’s Pacific League (1,278). Isao Harimoto was the only player to collect 3,000 or more hits in Nippon Pro Baseball, putting Ichiro second all-time in hits by a Japanese player in top-tier baseball leagues.
