Happy Friday, AN!
Tonight, the Oakland Athletics (55-42) look to bounce back from last night’s loss to the AL Central leading Minnesota Twins (59-36) in this second of a four game series at Target Field in Minneapolis. Chris Bassitt (6-4, 3.98 ERA) will face off against the Twins’ ace, Jake Odorizzi (11-4, 3.06 ERA). It’s a tough matchup on paper, but lest we forget: the A’s defeated Odorizzi on July 2nd in Oakland, knocking him out and scoring six runs in just three innings. Matt Chapman, who has been day-to-day with ankle soreness this week, will once again watch the game start from the dugout. Chad Pinder will start at third in Chappy’s place. Let’s go, Oakland!
