Game Thread #67: Athletics at Rangers

MLB: Game Two-Oakland Athletics at Texas Rangers Ray Carlin-USA TODAY Sports

Yesterday was a rough six-plus hours of baseball, but today is a new day! With a victory, the A’s will once again be at the .500 mark.

Frankie Montas, far and away the strongest performer on the starting staff for the A’s this season, will be taking on Drew Smyly, who has been one of the Rangers’ worst performers on the starting staff. With the A’s power-laden lineup set to take on a homer-prone starter during a day game in Texas, there is a good chance fans in the bleachers will be gifted plenty of souvenirs before the day is done.

Both Mark Canha and Chad Pinder are in the lineup today, as Smyly is a left handed pitcher. First pitch is set for 12:05, but it appears that thunderstorms will delay the start of the game. Lineups for both teams are posted below.
