Tonight, the A’s make a bid for the series win against the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim at Angel Stadium after taking last night’s season opener of this three game series, 4-2. Both teams have announced that they will employ the opener strategy for this evening’s contest: Joakim Soria (1-4, 5.02 ERA) will precede Daniel Mengden (1-1, 3.05 ERA) and his 70 grade ‘stache for the A’s, while Cam Bedrosian (2-3, 2.96 ERA) will set the stage ahead of Halos “starter” Félix Peña (3-1, 3.42 ERA). The Angels are nipping at Oakland’s heels, just a game and a half behind the A’s in the AL West standings.

The A’s are going with their usual starters tonight, save for Nick Hundley at catcher, batting in the ninth spot. Let’s go, Oakland!
