Happy Fri-yay and welcome to another Friday night game thread! I’ll be your host, baseballgirl, fresh off an all-day graduation event, so what better way to start the weekend than opening a series at home against Seattle. The A’s, who have had an up-and-down season, to say the least, with some high highs and low lows, sit one game above .500, good enough for third place in the AL West, but only a game and a half out of the second Wild Card.

The A’s are fresh off a series win against what was the best team in baseball at the time, taking two out of three against Tampa Bay thanks in part to some amazing hitting.

Taking the mound for the A’s tonight will be Chris Bassitt. He will be facing off against Marco Gonzales.
