Let me ‘splain. No, there is too much. Let me sum up.

It should be about 6-0 Seattle; instead it’s 1-0 Seattle. Mengden has walked pretty much the entire lineup, but somehow has managed to wiggle out of trouble, thanks in part to some nifty defense (I love you Semien/Chapman!) or a questionable-at-best strike three call that went our way.

The A’s have one hit, by Ramon Laureano, and even so, it’s been 9-up, 9-down, since he was erased by a DP.

Let’s hope for more. Going to the bottom of the fourth, 1-0 Seattle.
