Welcome to SB Nation FanPulse, a survey of fans across MLB. Each week, we send 30 polls to plugged in fans from each team. A’s fans, click HERE to learn more and join FanPulse.
A’s fans were asked last week if they have confidence in the direction of the team, and the result was a resounding yes!

The poll was taken after the recent four-game losing streak, and the A’s hadn’t yet completed the three impressive wins that followed, so it’s nice to see the fans look past the mediocre start to 2019 and appreciate the bigger picture. This club won 97 games last year and earned an unexpected playoff berth, and there are still several impact youngsters expected to reach the majors this summer. It’s a good time to be an A’s fan, and it should only get better from here.
Fans were also asked about manager Bob Melvin again, and this time he got 92% approval. That’s a drop from the last two weeks (100%, then 95%), but still clearly overwhelming support.
Finally, there was a national question this time, about bat flips. People dig them, for the most part, with 70.3% approval.

OK, the poll options may have been a bit loaded. But still, Mark Canha would be proud of these results. Keep on flippin’, my dude.
