The Oakland A’s did pretty well in the awards season last fall, picking up more hardware in 2018 than they have in years. As a reminder, here’s a list of some major stuff they won:

There was some other stuff too, like Gold Glove finalist nods for Marcus Semien and Jed Lowrie, Cy Young votes for Blake Treinen, and a thing called MLB Network’s Best Play of 2018 for Ramon Laureano and his ridiculous catch-and-throw double play.

On Friday, before their game against the Angels, the A’s received the actual hardware that goes with all these awards. Not everything on that list above has a physical prize attached, but quite a few of them do and and it made for an impressive collection.

As you can imagine, it took a while to hand everything out. Watch the whole eight-minute ceremony below, complete with A’s legend Rickey Henderson and six-time Gold Glover Eric Chavez on hand as presenters.

Y’all, Matt Chapman faked out Rickey Effing Henderson by pretending to drop an award for defensive player of the year. Can we just sign him for a billion dollars already?

After all of that, Chavez stuck around to throw out the ceremonial first pitch to Chapman, from one elite defensive 3B to another. Susan Slusser of the S.F. Chronicle has more on the two third basemen, and you can see the pitch below. (It was much better than Coco Crisp’s bouncy offering the day before, which tracks considering the throwing arms they had during their playing careers.)

Chapman looks good in gold.

Congrats to the A’s on all their 2018 awards! Let’s hope they can win some more this summer, and maybe even a trophy to go with them.
