No, I’m not on strike from AN so here’s a rare game thread authored by yours truly, Blogfather, The.

Today the A’s send Daniel Mengden, and a gaggle of relievers, up against the Los Angeles Dodgers and their talented lefty Julio Urias. Said gaggle of A’s relievers has struggled mightily of late, leading to scores like 17-5 yesterday when Parker Bridwell and Kyle Finnegan combined to face 10 batters and retire not a single one. Fernando Rodney, in contrast, was only terrible.

Perhaps the biggest news for the A’s today is the return of Matt Chapman to the lineup. albeit as the DH:
