This season has been a journey, and on the last day of the regular season, most assuredly A’s fans will be treated to the bright and shining faces of the entire (non-injured) cast that got the team to 97 wins. Had the season gone the way 99.9% of people assumed, this would be it, and the team on the other side of the diamond likely would have been in Oakland’s position.

Brett Anderson and the usual cast of A’s, save for Jonathan Lucroy, will be starting today’s game in Anaheim, but more than likely won’t finish it. The heroes deserve a bit of an extended break.

First pitch, along with the other fourteen games on today’s ledger, will be shortly passed noon, at 12:07. Lowrie’s potential 100th RBI is on the line, as is Khris Davis’ 50th home run. Lineups are below.
