The A’s have won 31 of their last 41 games. Win number 31 was mostly thanks to rookie Ramon Laureano, who first made an incredible throw to shut down the Detroit Tigers in the top of the 13th inning on Friday night. He then came to the plate in the bottom half of the inning with two men on base. With the count at 1-2, Laureano took an 82 MPH slider from reliever Victor Alcantara and launched it deep to right, over the head of Nick Castellanos and to the wall, plating Nick Martini. With his first major league hit, in his first major league game, Laureano walked-off for the A’s. Just, ya know, ICYMI:
When you have a #walkoff hit in your first game … that’s just special.
