After a surprising 4-3 loss Friday night, the A’s are looking to hit the reset button and win tonight and Sunday to take the series from the Angels. Edwin Jackson takes the mound for Oakland, facing off against the Los Angeles Angels’ Tyler Skaggs.

Lou Trivino had an uncharacteristically bad night, so the A’s bullpen is seeking to get back on track as well. The A’s offense scored early (wait, what?!), perhaps too early in the game, with home runs by both Matt Chapman and Khris Davis but that was all the offense the A’s could muster against the Angels pitching staff.

However, everyone and every team is allowed the occasional off-game during the long, grueling 162-game season and the A’s are no different. They should be able to turn it around tonight at the Big A.

Here are tonight’s lineups:

Oakland Athletics:

  1. M Semien SS
  2. M Chapman 3B
  3. J Lowrie 2B
  4. K Davis DH
  5. M Canha 1B
  6. S Piscotty RF
  7. C Pinder LF
  8. R Laureano CF
