**UPDATE: Take your comments to the overflow thread here.**
The A’s have capitalized on their AL Central-heavy schedule in recent weeks, and have not lost a series since getting swept by the Astros in June.
After garnering some respect on the national stage, they will face a real test in the dominant Houston team, which just swept its past two opponents consecutively.
Frankie Montas will take the mound for the A’s. Last Sunday against Cleveland, he put up a decent 5.2 inning and three ER start, striking out six. But before that, against Detroit, he was shelled for six runs in three innings.
Gerrit Cole gets the start for the Astros, coming off a four ER, five inning outing last week. Despite his mostly great season, one of his weaknesses as of late been the home run. If you’ve been following the A’s at all recently, your eyes should light up.
First pitch is at 5:10pm!
