Brett Anderson will take the mound tonight hoping for a reset from his last outing,

In his last start before the break, Anderson went 3.1 innings, giving up 3 runs on 8 hits against the Giants 10 days ago. But before that, he threw five scoreless innings. He’s now 1-2 with a 6.08 ERA.

Hamels, 34, has allowed 18 earned runs in his last 17 innings pitched. Overall, he’s 5-8 with a 4.36 ERA.

The A’s are 21-6 since June 16th, whereas the Rangers have gone 3-7 in just their past 10 games. Note that the Mariners do not play today, so the A’s have a chance to gain half a game.
