Good evening and welcome to the Friday night game thread! Much like the actual Coliseum location tonight, I bet tonight’s attention will be divided between the A’s and the Warriors, who are attempting the four-game sweep tonight.
The A’s have had sort of a rough week, After last weekend’s winning series against these Royals (that could have been a sweep), the A’s dropped the two-game series to Texas. Not to be elitist, but if you’re going to lose to anyone in the West, it shouldn’t be the Rangers.
Because of that, the A’s sit a single game over .500 coming into tonight.
The A’s took the first game of the four-game series last night behind a strong pitching performance by Paul Blackburn. The A’s will look to back it up tonight with Frankie Montas, who has been no less than awesome in both of his winning starts so far. He will put his shiny 0.64 ERA to the test tonight against the Royals.
The lineup includes two Matts and a Khris, and closing the lineup is a Martini, shaken, not stirred.
LET’S GO OAK-LAND!
