A tense and thrilling victory last night has the A’s back over the .500 mark. Today, the A’s are going for the sweep of the Orioles before Houston rolls into town.
Andrew Triggs is looking to bounce back after his poor showing versus the Mariners last week, where he couldn’t make it out of the fifth inning. If Triggs continues to struggle, the A’s have shown that no individual’s spot in the rotation is secure. The Orioles are turning to Alex Cobb, coming off his first good start of the season against the Angels, to try and salvage the final game of the series.
Jed Lowrie is getting a much deserved day off, so Chad Pinder is getting the start at second base.
First pitch is at 1:05. Lineups are below.
