Daniel Gossett and the A’s will try again against the Angels

Happy Friday and welcome to baseballgirl’s inaugural 2018 Friday Night Game Thread! I was at the game live last Friday (excellent game, even in a loss, which you can’t say very often) so I’m opening the season tonight as the A’s try a big ol’ re-do against the Angels. Losing 3 out of 4 to start the season, especially winnable games, was a tough blow, so the A’s look to seek some revenge against the Angels in this series.

Really, the A’s have just missed a few wins; they should have won the Texas series, but maybe between now and the end of this series, they can learn how to score a runner from third with less than two outs. Just saying’.

Tonight’s starting pitcher is Daniel Gossett, who was roughed up a bit in his debut (also against the Angels) and he’s also looking for a rebound series.
