The A’s will send Daniel Mengden to the mound with the series win on the line.

The good news? The A’s can do no worse than a series split based on the results of today’s game.

The great news? They could also seal up the first series win of the year.

After a stellar performance on all fronts last night, the series momentum is certainly in the A’s’ favor.

In his last start, Daniel Mengden went 5.2 innings, giving up 5 runs on 7 hits — but also struck out a solid 5. He indisputably has the best mustache in baseball, so the only question that remains is whether his first start struggles were just that, or if we have a larger problem on our hands.

First pitch is at 12:35! Note that the game is being live-streamed on Twitter in addition to the usual sources.
