After three heartbreaking losses to the Los Angeles Angels this past weekend, the A’s are looking to get back on track and improve their 1-3 record tonight against the Texas Rangers.
The Rangers most recently took on the World Champion Houston Astros and came away tied for last place in the American League West with the A’s with a 1-3 record. So they, too, will be hungry for a win.
Here are tonight’s lineups:

As you can see (by pressing the play button on the above tweet), A’s starter 29-year-old Andrew Triggs will be taking on everyone’s favorite pitcher, “Big Sexy”, also known as the almost 45-year-old Bartolo Colon (as if you didn’t already know his nickname!).
Colon had what was probably the best season of his 20-year career while with the A’s in 2013. It was even better than his performance in 2005 when he won the A.L. Cy Young at the age of 32. He finished second in the American League in both wins (18) and ERA (2.65) in 2013 and threw three complete game shutouts for Oakland. I know I certainly have some fond memories of those days and apparently so does A’s skipper, Bob Melvin:
