Good news, everyone! The A’s are basically incapable of having a worse game than they did for me last Friday night, so we have nowhere to go but up! Okay, full disclosure. After recapping Friday night’s loss, I made the bad decision to go down to the game on Sunday in person. I say “bad decision” as an A’s fan; I’m sure Angels’ fans, or baseball fans who wanted to see Ohtani on a big stage were thrilled. I was not. Luckily, I made the good decision to skip Tuesday’s planned Dodgers’ game; a near-identical outcome. But something happened on Wednesday night. The A’s finally broke out of their offensive frustrations and absolutely killed the ball all over the stadium, all night long. That one felt good.
Let’s hope tonight builds on that game. Andrew Triggs, after pitching five good innings twice against the Angels in his first two starts, will take the mound for the A’s, facing off against Mike Leake as the A’s face Seattle for the first (but certainly not last!) time this season.
Here are your lineups:
LET’S GO OAK-LAND!
