Long time no see, Athletics Nation! It’s been a long and cold winter, and I’m thrilled to be get back on the game thread wagon.

In the final Arizona game of the spring, the A’s (13-13) will face the Cactus League-leading Brewers (18-9). But what that really means is that the sure-thing Big Leaguers will head back to the Bay at their leisure — probably after an at-bat or so— and whoever’s left in Arizona will finish out play against the Brewers. Boog Powell will start in center as the decision to keep him or Dustin Fowler on the 25-man comes down the wire.

Per Susan Slusser, Opening Day starter Kendall Graveman will start an earlier minor league game Saturday to aid said getaway, and Santiago Casilla will start against the Brewers. Jhoulys Chacín will start for Milwaukee.
