I am referring, obviously, to Rickey Henderson. Rickey, who was the ultimate ambassador for the ‘Billy Ball’ era that rejuvenated the A’s in the early 1980s, turns 60 years old today. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, RICKEY!

Do you think this guy was pretty good? Rickey boasts a career OBP of .401 with 1406 stolen bases and 297 HRs. He struck out only 12.7% of the time, far less than he walked (16.4%), and accumulated 106.3 WAR.
