The Oakland A’s are deep in their quest for a new stadium, but in the meantime they continue to make improvements to their current house. On Thursday, they announced five new premium seating options that will be found in various areas of the Coliseum in 2019.
In the past couple years, we’ve seen the A’s make a real effort to improve the fan experience at their park. They rolled out features such as The Treehouse in the LF bleachers, Shibe Park Tavern and its bold new food menu, and Championship Plaza with all its food trucks and other amenities. In addition, they revolutionized the entire concept of season tickets with their A’s Access plan, while experimenting with all kinds of other promotions including a Free Game last season.
Now there are five more additions coming. Here’s the list, followed by details and artists renderings.
- Hero Deck (RF terrace, Sections 101-102)
- Lounge Seats (Section 113)
- Coppola Theater Boxes (Sections 116-118)
- The Terrace (Section 121)
- Oak Landing (LF terrace, Sections 131-133)
What’s more, team COO Chris Giles says there will be even more announcements to come about further Coliseum improvements, so this is just the beginning. Check out his recent Q&A with Ben Ross of NBCS, as well as the video clip below.
