Get ready for another installment of Breakfast Baseball, featuring eggs with a side of series-on-the-line.
If you haven’t heard, Matt Olson is better than Giancarlo Stanton. You read that right.
This isn’t even *that* hot of a take at this point:
Matt Olson now has a higher isolated slugging percentage than Giancarlo Stanton, the guy with 54 homers.

Daniel Gossett will take the mound for the A’s against our old friend Drew Pomeranz, who has actually been able to establish himself as a legit threat of a starting pitcher this year. He’s 15-5 with a 3.35 ERA. Cool.
Gossett is coming off one of the better starts of his career, in which he went six innings against the Astros, striking out seven and only allowing one run. Also cool.
Renato Nuñez will see some playing time today, with Matt Joyce getting a day off.
Khris Davis will be out of the lineup for a few days:
Khris Davis headed home to be with his girlfriend, Jill, for the birth of their first child, a son. He'll be away from team for a few days.
