Elephant Rumblings: Yonder, Gossett, and the Prospects

MLB: Oakland Athletics at Los Angeles Angels Gary A. Vasquez-USA TODAY Sports

Prospect Report:

Today in Baseball History:

  • 1916 - The Athletics, then of Philadelphia, set a record for their 19th road loss in a row. Adding to their distinction, this loss also set the record for most losses in a two-week period.
  • 1992 - Dennis Eckersley blew a save against the Royals, ending his consecutive saves streak at 40. The A’s would rally to win the game 5-3.
