Game Thread #109: A’s at Giants

The A’s are primed for a series win.

After last night’s all-around team win, things are continuing to trend upward with Kendall Graveman coming off the DL to make tonight’s start.

Before going down on May 29th, Graveman made eight starts and ranged from good to stellar in six of them. In all, he’s 2-2 with a 3.83 ERA, 47 innings, 32 strikeouts, 14 walks, 6 HR, and a 4.48 FIP.

If you have a sec, check out this sweet story on Graveman filling his BFF’s (Sonny Gray’s) leadership role.

Ty Blach will take the mound for the Giants. He’s 6-7 with a 4.38 ERA in 113 innings. In his first full season in the majors, the former 5th round pick could be doing a lot worse considering the defense he’s been dealt. No hot takes here.

Graveman has five plate appearances in his Major League career, all hitless.
