MLB: Oakland Athletics at Houston Astros Shanna Lockwood-USA TODAY Sports

Happy Friday and welcome to yet another Friday night game thread; the one with all the drinks. I’m waving to you from Dodger Stadium, where I’m watching the best team in baseball having one of the best seasons in MLB history, so there’s that. At least I’m guaranteed to see good baseball from somewhere tonight.

Keep in mind, that although Houston has sewn up the AL West crown, all other teams are in the Wild Card mix (with the obvious exception of the A’s unless they get really hot and make up a 10 game deficit and jump about 10 teams; just sayin’). Texas, the rivals tonight, is just a game out of the second wild card spot and will be playing hard in this series.

Tonight, the A’s are starting Kendall Graveman, who has been awesome in his last few starts, including last week’s at Houston. The A’s will face off against Nick Martinez with this lineup:

Today's Lineups
