  • 1951 - Bill Veeck was at it again, this time with “Fan Managers Night”. Thousands of fans were given placards and allowed to vote on decisions by Brown’s coaches. The Browns would win 5-3.
  • 1989 - Pete Rose was banned from baseball after weeks of legal battles. He effectively pleaded no-contest to baseball’s charges.
