- 1921 - A Chicago jury acquits the eight Black Sox. Floyd Mountain Landis still bans all eight players from baseball for life.
- 1982 - Rickey Henderson steals his 100th base of the season for the A’s. He is the first MLB player to have achieved that feat twice.
