The Oakland A’s dropped the first game of the series to Baltimore, but they come back with their hottest starter in Paul Blackburn. The Orioles counter with Ubaldo Jimenez, who is in the middle of one of his bad years — 24 homers in only 111⅓ innings.
With the addition of Boog Powell in CF, plus some other key youngsters, this is probably Oakland’s best defensive lineup of the entire season.
