The good news is that the A's are playing better; they won their last series and nearly won the one before that, falling just short in the ninth inning.

The A's aren't anything to write home about; they are still in the cellar and no one is catching the Houston Astros this year, but I think they have the potential to string some wins together and perhaps climb back to .500. They're seven games from that goal.
