Again, not all of the above names will end up signing pro contracts with the A’s. But most of them will, and then we get to start guessing which ones (if any) will emerge as sleeper prospects over the next couple years!

The following hitters on the current A’s squad were drafted after the 10th round:

  • Stephen Vogt (12th)
  • Rajai Davis (38th)
  • Matt Joyce (12th)
  • Adam Rosales (12th)
  • Jaycob Brugman (17th)

And pitchers:

  • Jharel Cotton (20th)
  • Andrew Triggs (19th)
  • Ryan Dull (32nd)
  • John Axford (42nd) (previously 7th but didn’t sign, then had TJS)
  • Daniel Coulombe (25th)
  • Zach Neal (17th)
  • Josh Smith (21st)

These final bulk rounds of the draft are largely made up of filler, but as you can see there are plenty of success stories to be found.
