Game Thread #31: A’s vs. Tigers

Stan Szeto-USA TODAY Sports

Happy Sunday Everyone! It's a Sonny Sunday in fact. After last night's dramatic win, the A's take the field with the chance to halt their series losing streak at three. Today's match-up features a pair of Tennessee born hurlers.

Sonny Gray is making his second start of the season and was touched up for three homeruns by the Twins on Tuesday. He did pitch six innings and will look to further settle into his 2017 campaign against the Tigers. He'll be opposed by Daniel Norris, who has electric stuff but is perhaps better known for beating cancer and living in a van. Norris can be erratic at times, but if he's on, he can be very effective. This is his first ever start against the A's (and he's only ever faced two hitters in the A's lineup), so it's hard to know what to expect. But that's the fun of baseball!

Lineups are posted below. First pitch is at 4:05. Let's go A's!
