But wait! it doesn't have to be good enough, because Sonny Gray is coming off the disabled list to make his season debut. It's been a dark and twisty start to the season so far for this team, so maybe Sonny can shed some light (sorry).
Since recovering from his lat injury, Gray tossed a game a piece in Stockton and Nashville, and his final line was 11 innings, 0 runs, 13 strikeouts, and 3 hits. His fastball hit 94mph.
All this bodes well, so let's hope we see more of 2015 Sonny and less of his 2016 alter ego.
More things to be excited for:
- Rajai Davis coming off the DL to (hopefully) infuse some life into the top of the order.
- Trevor Plouffe wanting to beat his former team.
- Games played in central time, just to keep us on our toes.
Work like you don't need the money.
